On 8th November the UK Youth Parliament will come together in the House of Commons to debate and decide the most important issues to campaign on for the year ahead. They will decide from the top issues voted for by the young people of the United Kingdom, and many students at Arena had the opportunity to vote for which issues were to be debated. Issues such as school uniform, school dinners, mobile phone use were always going to be high on the agenda, but so were the pressing matters of knife crime and violence between youths. This was a fantastic exercise in Democracy for our young students and it will be fascinating to see which topics were chosen for debate.
